interesting break down, I guess it's true, although I find a lot of commonality about people on steemit too. I came here out of curiosity about the mystique of cryptos. I have stayed because I'm new to blogging so that's an interesting challenge and there are a lot of great and original people with interests I like (food, travel, photo). then there is always the lingering allure of maybe making money, but it's somehow more addictive beyond that

Listen value comes in all shapes and sizes, I remember when I joined last year I saw some people attempt to blog but finding it wasn't for them, or they didn't feel they could create a high enough output to make an impact.
Then slowly people started to find their own value niches. Look at someone like @firepower who did a few nice blog posts, and then decided his talents were best served behind the scenes, now he is a major part of this community.
