Just received a reply from one of my post claiming to be from a bot for copyright infringement. Well, this is normal as I am copying the content and curating. However there are a few issues that worries me.
- Firstly the bot is capable to vote on my post
- Second the bot is capable to post auto comment
- The source where the content was copied is wrong (or at least half right)
It seems that it is possible to generate contents and voting through the usage of bot as per proven by the bot that have commented on one of my post and voting it. This is a serious concern since this would mean that there is a potential that bulk of the users here on Steemit are just bots. So can we still believe that it is still possible to be making decent income from posting contents or curating contents on Steemit?
The next question that we face is the lack of accuracy to the content source. My content was obtained from Associated Press and not Yahoo. However the bot was reflecting that the content was coming from Yahoo (Yahoo curated the content from Associated Press).
What is your view on this matter? Do you still believe that Steemit is a fair playground for all and content creator are rewarded fairly even after discovering the common usage of bot?
You are trying to defend your copying of an entire article rather than posting a brief passage and a link to the source? You are incorrigible.
Not trying to defend here on the copying part. The point here is that it is possible to use bot for content generation , posting of contents, upvotes and commenting. Think about this. Isn't this a potential flaw of the whole steem concept?

A bot can only do what the programmer can anticipate. The way cheetah works is by calling google with your contents and reporting it in a reply for all to see. It is up to the curators to determine whether the steemit author is referencing tbe source. It is possible a bot could downvote everything that could be found elsewhere.
