I think ALL my poetry stems from the trauma i received at the hands of the nhs. Oh well, at least it unleashed my creativity. I campaign heavily now for mental health support for people with chronic illness. Even set up a charity. Still falls on deaf lugs mostly, but slowly getting thru. Being a musician and writer defo helping. Support so vital. <3

Following you. I want to give some of this to a charity. Tell me about yours

Hi again :) my charity is www.withoutwings.weebly.com - don't know if this link works here. It's specifically about providing compassionate support for local people with autoimmune arthritis. We are VERY vocal and proactive. I am deeply passionate about the subject - mainly due to my own horror story of course, but now due to everyone else's. Rheumatoid, Psoriatic, juvenile arthritis, ankylosing, lupus.... all these kinds of illnesses. They are horrific, misunderstood, volatile, unpredictable and often strike people of working age.... and we are a relatively small island community with limited support but I never expected to get treated like a piece of shit. I am also now working closely with a local cancer charity who also offer emotional and mental support. They are a much bigger charity than mine and are planning to branch out to cover all illnesses. They have been so lovely and kind to me - brought back some of my faith in human nature. You have to keep believing in people. I do everything voluntarily. I care more about justice than money - which frustrates the hell out of my husband haha. probably why he insisted I got on steemit! xxx

Thanks for sharing this with me. I well check out in greater depth later. ♡♡
