Light indeed and a way off of this slippery slope
In a world of closing doors finally we see hope
They label and imprison our mind
Slavery is still here but a different kind

Steem and steemit have shown us a way
We must fight and insure it is here to stay
We know they will come for it is a likely choice
If we can hold them back the world will rejoice

I said the same of bitcoin and I gave into fear
I didn't pay $0.005/btc with my money that's dear
So sure was I that the government would slay
In fear and fiat currency I elected to stay

Now almost a decade later I know regret
Next time I see the obvious I'll not fret
Into my vision I suddenly saw steem
I knew it was as bitcoin I could see the gleem

This time I will not run from fear
This time I will hold what is important near
I hope you'll all stand with me and fight
Together we can end this government blight
