I had not been at Steemit for quite some weeks. Then came back to check on my STEEM value. It's not that much as compared to some people. BUT in US dollar, it had increased by 200% or so! Not bad at all.

My Steem Power had also increased. Instead of a mere 1 cent for upvotes, I'm able to give 4 cents to others now (although it has reduced to 2 cent at the moment). Now I'm hesitant about withdrawing the STEEM and selling at Bittrex. There's a nice feeling when I can upvote the posts and comments I like, knowing the people writing these will feel appreciated.
