That way ALL the 24-48hour new users can be EASILY found in a SINGLE location and be screened for US much more efficiently, NO?

The mention only shows up as a pop-up quickly, if you have it turned off on your phone you will likely miss it if you aren't on steemit at the exact time of the post published.
And sure now more users can find the newcomers, but we also have re-steems for "attention".
But I have to say I misjudged it a little bit, cause I thought he had just checked which new accounts have been created and pasted them onto the post, but now I realize its users who have started posting. So this post makes a lot more sense now.
