RE: Response to @dantheman "notice-to-bot-spammers"

in #steemit8 years ago (edited)

I can tell you really care about the steemit society, and your descriptions are vivid.

I'd recommend you split the article into 2 parts as this article is excessively long. Maybe put the end part about bots into "part 2." That would clarify the meaning.

I really like thw theidea of not having to get the attention of a whale in order for my posts (which I really put a lot of thought into) to have any value. It seems if ordinary minnows like your work, (and minnows are the bulk of this society) then your work should give you some income. There is enough to spread around.

Keep posting, you've got so many great ideas!

Thanks! My regular editor was asleep when I posted this. I may split it, up later. Might even run it through a spelling and grammar check yeesh. However I think what needed said, got said and enough people understood my point that they can spread the message because this really is something important.

The new rules require waiting 24 hours before posting a follow up post because your payout decreases if you post or edit too much from what I've read. So just sequence your posts by date instead of by parts.

Evidently the latest hard fork made it so you can do up to 4 blog postings a day before you start receiving a penalty that increases rather quickly and this penalty is against your entire days earnings.@dana-edwards My understanding was a bit different but the end result is the same.

I saw a post somewhere, where a guy noticed edits count against this too, but I think that was a side effect, not a planned change. The stated reason behind the change was to "increase the quality at the expense of quantity" and limiting edits would definitely not be increasing the quality.

Awaiting more confirmation on that before I file a bug report, but if anyone is seeing something like that head on over to github and open an issue because that really would be against the spirit of what they are trying to accomplish.

He was mistaken about the edits.. the later came back and edited post and apologized.. That is confirmed too, edits don't count against the 4 post per day.

@jsc Awesome, glad to hear it!
