I am quite angry right now, about 4 hours ago I posted a blog about cherries, which took me about an hour and a half to put together, AND INCLUDED my references, it is the first post I've made which is actually getting more than a few pence. I'm over the moon about it, my first little earner.
About 10 minutes ago, another user has posted something EXTREMELY SIMILAR in the health page, not copy and pasted it, so I doubt cheetah will pick up on it? But has clearly re- written my work and found more info off the back of it, I have no idea what to do? Any advice would be much appreciated :(
I was going to comment asking where his/her sources are- there are none- and say "as it seems to be my post". I was going to flag it too but I don't know what to do I'm worried he/she could just go and flag my post or comment??
Your concerns; "I was going to flag it too but I don't know what to do I'm worried he/she could just go and flag my post or comment" exactly on the dot....
Making another post pointing it out is the right way to go.
Good Job, keep it up, spammers will be discovered.
Thank you for your comments @luke490, I am really glad I did not just flag and comment on that post as I initially wanted to. This will also be helpful for other people to read :)
I'm sure @inuk simply up-voted the post for the potential curation.
It does not look like @scribbler has much support, don't let them get you down.
comments tl; dr, but have you solved this yet?
if not, find me on steemit. chat :)
OK great ^^
Thanks @happychau123, I didn't take any further action the answers and support I received resolved the issue for me :)
Ugh, that's SO frustrating! I'm sorry that happened... I wish I knew what the best course of action was in your case (I certainly will want to know if it ever happens to me)... I very much appreciate your efforts to put out good content... You're the kind of person I like to follow and support. Cheers and don't get discouraged!
Thank You Josh, it definitely is discouraging, :( there's so much I intend to write about but not if people are going to steal it. If they thought it was a good post they can still earn from re-steeming it. Ah well, ill have to look into it some more and ill post my findings as a comment for other people to know, there does not seem to be any clear instructions on what to do in this case. Thanks anyway, the comments from you and @warrenvee have made me feel a lot better already :)
We're all in this together :) (the ones trying to make this place better, anyway)... Happy to help however i can. Best
:) Have a look at @luke490's comment below, basically saying making a post like this is the correct way to go and call that person out, and not to engage in a flagging war . Now we know.
Hi CJ,
Unfortunately, there is not a lot that can be done. You can try to explain the issue in the #help or #steemit-abuse channels on https://steemit.chat if you have an account over there. Aside from that, try not to worry about it. The fact that Steemit can't be censored is one of it's great strengths, although it also means there is a possibility for abuse. I doubt they will copy anymore of your posts, and if they do, the community will inevitably catch on, I would hope.
I'm going to go through your blog and upvote a lot of your posts just because, which will hopefully encourage you that this platform is a good one! Also because I love your cat pics on your intro, and one of my sisters has struggled with eating disorders for many years, so I guess I just feel like it!
Keep Steeming,
Trogdor
Oh Wow @trogdor I cant thank you enough for your kindness. You definitely have reinstalled my faith in the platform, I was thinking no one would come to my aid as I'm not important enough :( but all the support I've had here has blown me away, yours especially.
There will be plenty more pictures of my mischievous cat, and also I do intend to write about my battle with Bulimia if it is something that might interest you to read in the near future . You would be my precise target audience for such a blog. I want to help people understand what it's like. It is so common these days a lot of people without realising it do actually know someone who is struggling with an eating disorder. There is not enough understanding and I hope to shed some light on that now that I have come out the other end.
Many Thanks :)
where are the links to the one in question? Thanks

:(
Upvoted your blog :) don't worry about it yours is way better.
Thank you :) you and @Joshua-pace have made me feel better, I will have to look into this issue some more before I post any more content like that so I can protect my work.

Wow, that's infuriating! I love to write, and I'd be really upset if someone took my hard work and tried to pass it off as their own -- especially if they earned money off it on this platform.
I suppose that by posting this, other users can flag the plagiarized post and/or down vote it, which should hopefully help.
Hello, yea a few people have said that making a post like this calling it out is the best thing to do, I was really angry at first but it's been really uplifting to see all this support, really shows what steemit is about. Thanks for following my page I'm sure yours I going to do well too :)
Very sorry this has happened to you, but I am glad for all the good comments in this thread on how to deal with the situation. I agree that getting into a flagging war is not wise especially for lower power accounts. Shining a light on the fraud in a polite yet firm post sounds very wise. Thanks @caronellis for posting and thanks @luke490 for your insights. I've learned a lot today. Cheers!
Thanks for the comment, and I'm glad you found it helpful I hope many more will too. I'm sort o glad it happened in a way it shows just how supportive this community really is :)
