I also want to say thank you for writing the article. Some of the stuff that you were talking about was over my head, but it seemed to me that you were trying to raise awareness that there are "little guys" out there that are trying to produce good content. Something that I have noticed on steemit is the more popular users get noticed for content that sometimes seems like not a lot of thought went into it (but not all popular users publish hap-hazardly)
