I'm, in any sense of the word, not a writer.
If the skills that a person has could be measured by experience or level like that of a video game,I'd still be in the noob kitty pool.
This is not do to the lack of trying or the lack of ideas, if anything ideas are my greatest strength or ..highest level if we're still using the video game analogy.
The problem is not the lack of ability to CREATE but the lack of ability to RE-CREATE.......let me explain this a different way...
We all have are own personal universe.
A universe were we keep things that we will never tell anyone about an, at times will try to convince are selves that we don't have. This universe we have is were we can act out events or fantasy scenarios that will most likely never happen. Some of these things we act out could be are favorite TV show but with us as the main character, acting out events of the story as we see fit making us the center of attention. We even act out events that happen in are daily lives so much so that we act out all the possible choices we could have made, or would have liked to have made. In many cases we play a avatar of are selves the way we wish we could be in real life, in are daily lives.
This universe is usually given a hand wave an described as a day dream, an yes, this is one way to enter are personal universe but their is one time of day every day that we make full use of are universe. This time of day is when you are in your bed of all places. The moment your head reaches your pillow an your eyes are closed, After you relax a little an let your mind go you experience the best day dream of your life. In many cases this is the step that leads to you the dream you have as you sleep.
This is the time were are most random or important ideas come into being, an with an extremely vivid detail. Its hard to tell people most of the time ideas you have, or things you want to say to them. Sure we can think about some thing to say but its all ways difficult to find the right words to make are thoughts, sound just as good as they sound in are head.
Remember a time when you wanted to say something to some one, a pretty girl maybe or in an argument. You will have the basics of what you want to say in your head but to translate it into words never seem to work out. We've all been there at one point or another, Now imagine trying to RE-CREATE the universe you CREATED in your mind with words. In other words......try to write down a dream you had with the same vivid detail you experienced it, like trying to turn a TV SHOW into a book instead of the other way around.
This is the problem i have, maybe many others as well when it comes to creative writing. Finding the words an arranging them in a way so anyone that reads it can see a glimpse into the universe you created. With time this process becomes more easier to do an more effective but only if you practice writing, practice the skill to put your thoughts on paper in a creative way with consecutive coherence.
That's way...this BRAIN FART series i started is even here. A way for me to create an write anything that i can think of, at times with no direction at all. i don't expect to reach the professional levels of writing in any means in any time soon, the dream to have some thing i have written posted or published is a strong one.
Weather or not any of this has made scene to you.it only seems fit to end this with a simple phrase.......
My Apologies.
