Many of you have been blogging and blogging and blogging, but just can't seem to make more than a few cents per blog with the occasional blog that makes more. Some of you might get frustrated, some of you might give up, some of you might think it's just a lottery or a scam. But how fair is it really?
It is very similar to Youtube where most people have to work on their channel for weeks, months or years till they have success with the occasional lucky viral video. There is 1 huge difference between Youtube and #SteemIt though: on #SteemIt you can invest in your own blog and essentially BUY "popularity". This is because you can vote on your own content. It gets even worse now, not only do you not have to invest in your own vote (except for the very slight decrease in voting power), you also get to keep that money!
Conclusion
Rich content creators have a huge unfair advantage and that is really problematic! I personally think this has to be fixed as soon as possible. It should ONLY be about the quality of the content, nothing else. What do you think about it? Do you agree? Did i make a mistake? Leave a comment below.
I like your conclusion
:-))
I wouldn't agree more
You have a very good point. Right now it's a completely open market. One that rewards meritocracy, but like in the real world, some people are simply not as privileged.
A good analogy is government. Right now, Steemit is completely capitalist, very right wing. But that doesn't work and only leads to gross inequality and suffering for the less privileged. Which is where the government steps in.
Like in government, I hope over time, I hope a balance is found. Benefits for the new users with great content. Things like that.
Are you telling me majority of people are making more than $1 per post ?
Nope, i changed the wording now, especially for :)
Haha. That's very kind of you. I feel much better now XD
