Trezor is a good option. I use KeepKey which is very similar, though you won't be able to store your STEEM on it as only a few of the main currencies are supported. Personally I think Bitcoin is a good place to be right now, but opinions on coins are like arseholes. Everyone has one.
My advice, take it slow and learn as you go. There are a lot of traps and scammers that can catch out newbies and take your money so err on the side of caution. It is nowhere near as safe as precious metals.
Yeah, I will definitely take it slow and only invest as much as I'm willing to loose. I am a very poor gambler and not going to take many risks.
