My Life Trajectory

I think I finally figured out what I want to do when I grow up

Source

I've always been asked what I want to do when I grow up. I used to answer "something related to math and computer's and technological." I enjoy doing maths and messing with computers, so I figured I would do something like that.
Recently, however, I've been thinking through my likes, talents, and minor experiences (which aren't all that different) and I think I've found something that I would enjoy and be good at it, which I would be willing to do my whole life.

I could do well in a small team of programmers, specifically as a bug squasher, tester, and patch note creater

Perfect Match

  • Depending on what is asked of me, I can be a perfectionist. If something needs to be re-written, I can do it. If something needs to be smoothed out, I can do it. However, if a hotfix is needed quickly, I can do my best in a short amount of time to make something work even if it isn't *perfect*
  • I've always been good at solving problems. If I'm shown something, I can extract what is needed from it. If I'm given something to do, I can usually do it in a relatively short amount of time.
  • One of the reasons for that is because I am good at figuring out how things work. I can find out what something is doing and how it needs to be fixed.
  • I am also good at finding alternative solutions. If one thing is working, but it's not the best, I can rewrite it to make it work better. Even if it's not the most optimal, as long as something works better for me, I can deal with it, even if it means slightly more work.
  • I am good at spotting details. I can scan over smething and find typos, see if a semicolon was missed, or locate a mysteriously changed variable, and fix it.

  • I'm not *great* with other people, but I'm friendly, I give good suggestions, and I can do what is needed of me. I have many different ideas of how something could work and I could work with other people.
  • I like trying to help people, but I don't have the best communication skills. If I am told something is wrong, I will try to fix it, but during the time I'm doing that I don't want to have to deal with people.

Closing Ideas

Right now, this seems to be one of the best fits for me in the future. Since this could be what I do when I grow up, any tips, practice, or even small jobs from you guys could help me get better :P. It will probably be after college, but I don't know. Maybe it's not what I'm going to do. Maybe I won't enjoy it later. Maybe I will get a concussion and lose my memory in my next soccer game.
Speaking of which, soccer has been one of the reasons I've been so busy and haven't been doing anything steem related recently. I've had other things too. Work, my sister's wedding, which went very well, and getting in my first car accident :/ (It WASN'T my fault!)

I will try to get back into streaming soon, watch for me on DLive :)

It's over by now. But...are you able to code games yet? Because if so....maybe we could figure something out for you with Steem Monsters. I'll ask. Be a great start for you as an up and coming developer. How old are you?

He would be a nice addition to our crew!
