Hopefully you won't have to choose between Steemit and starting a "real" blog. I'm hopeful the tools will mature to make it easy for anyone to plugin Steem blockchain content to their own sites.

Agreed. I didn't mean I would go somewhere else, just step up my game here.
Oh sure, I didn't think you were going anywhere. I just know a lot of people (myself included) may be "mirroring" their content elsewhere on their own domains and it sounded like you may be working toward that. There are some tools to pull content direct from the blockchain, but they're not very user friendly yet. I'm eagerly awaiting the day when I can insert a Steem widget into my own sites with ease!
I might do that as well, or maybe show like a tenth of my post and have the rest visible on seemit. Haven't thought too much about it yet. That would be a good addition to the site, I really need to learn to code :p
