True, at least with google if you pay top dollar you get the desired guaranteed visibility and possibly even more so if you really outbid everyone else, more eyes at a better value. I just don't see much harm in throwing them in the box on the tending page or what have you , just like any other post you may not like just skip over it or maybe you get to read something you wouldn't otherwise.
