Yahoo confirmed information first surfaced a month ago.
The information in more than 500 million user accounts were hacked Yahoo in 2014, probably by an entity "a state-sponsored," the corporation said on Thursday Yahoo.

Change your account password in the shortest possible time and make sure you use authentication methods in more steps, adding classic password in logging mechanism, and personal phone number or additional security questions. Changing the password is recommended for all accounts where that e-mail is used in the login process. It is important not reuse your old password in the future!
Be aware of phishing campaigns (deception). Usually, criminals take advantage of highly publicized security breaches to send e-mails to millions of users on behalf of the affected company. As users expect to receive emails during this period to explain the impact of guilds on personal data, the chances that they open a message apparently originated in the Yahoo grow significantly.

By accessing infected internet page, users can download involuntarily even ransomware type threats that blocks access to files and charge a sum of money to provide the decryption key.
