I have to disagree with you and most of the comments. The other day I was checking #introducemyself. I came across this post https://steemit.com/introduceyourself/@floridastacker/after-74-posts-i-should-finally-introduce-myself. My upvote only gave the guy one cent. Personally I think it is pathetic with as many people who have made as much money as they have on this platform to allow new folks to get nothing.

Having been in his shoes once before, I decided to buy him some up votes using some bots so he would at least get $1. My .05 SBD upvoted him to $1 plus he stuck around a little bit longer and some other people seen his post and up voted also. Had I just sent him the .05 SBD the social contagion effect might never happen. The bots are filling in a gap created by people forgetting where they came from and supporting new members.
