The colosseum is located at the centre of the city of Rome in Italy. The Roman colosseum also known as “Amphitheatrum Flavium” (Flavian Amphitheatre), is one of the of the major tourist attraction in Rome and the largest oval shape amphitheatre ever built. The amphithreatre can hold 50,000 to 80,000 spectators having an average audience of 65,000.

The Roman Colosseum was mainly used for Gladiators contest, animal hunts, executions, re-enactment of famous battles and other kind of spectacles. Each sector of the Roman Colosseum was reserved to a specific kind of citizens, based on their importance. However, the entrance is free for anybody.
