I am not surprised in the absolute least. I've seen this happen with Pages as Facebook started pushing their ad services. It's only a matter of time before they start offering "premium reach" services for outside links.

If they could turn Facebook into a walled garden, they would. End up like old-school AOL. And we all know how well that went.

    It is definitely been a steady shift in that direction. I almost left back in 2011 when GPlus launched because of the same issue.
