Update on the situation: Here's why I privated around 500 videos..
I no longer feel this channel is safe after YouTube has removed my ability to livestream alongside taking down one of my main videos. All controversial content will go onto my Steemit, where there not only will it be at no risk of being deleted, but I can continue earning for producing content that deserves to be shared and viewed regardless of what's being stated in it.

Without the money I would not already be on steemit but even if the steem money was not redeemable for real cash I think it is still better than the censored social media sites.

What video did they censor?
They took down his Dark Net Market video, and have demonetized basically all his drug videos (which were always fun to watch). He now has a strike on his channel (maybe even two) so he can't livestream, etc. Sucks, but that's why we have alternatives (hypothetically). I just hope DTube can compete.

It's well known that YouTube refuses content.
The world is full of corrupt hypocrites who base their knowledge on stereotypes and sustain their closed-minded mentalities. If we really want to fix the corruption and unethicality of society, then we need to be honest with ourselves and others; it is our responsibility as members of a growing world to each express our opinions based on what we truly believe, and to open up our minds to new ideas and possibilities. This is what this channel is all about, and Youtube is causing more harm than good by censoring information about personal experiences and harm reduction. As more and more restrictive thinking is introduced through restrictions that violate privacy and censor content such as the removal of net neutrality, we will soon see more opportunities for independent organizations to influence public opinion. Society is already lying to you, and it's only going to get worse once more money is in the picture. This channel being shut down is just one example of how having a biased view on life can cause damage, and it's not just about drugs. We should be educating future generations about substances and society using facts and personal experiences, not outdated biased information. I believe that the disgustingly unorganized public education system is responsible for causing distraught mental thoughts in society, and it's because we are lying to the only children who may one day have a chance at fixing all of the problems in the world. I hope that through the blockchain and anonymous systems that the right information will still be available to the public in the future.

I was going to start using youtube again, because i use to create content a few years back. But seeing as though the monetary value has went down and they censor damn near everything i will be choosing Dtube/Steemit. Just because i feel like alot of my content is either opinion based or has something to do with my art, or has to do with something i have experienced(trip reports etc.) So glad i heard about stemmit through your youtube channel.

I hope DTube turns out better than all the other YouTube alternatives that have started these last couple of years. The one complaint I have with it so far is I can't seem to change the streaming quality and have to deal with constant buffering. Does anyone know how to change the video quality?
