I'm not sure this is an entitlement issue, I think the problem is you leaving advertisements on other people's blogs.

Lots of low ranked users leave a single image with no text as a way of purely promoting their own content... while your image might have slightly more context, the effort level still appears the same. You might not agree, but you come across as a spammer in this instance.

Write a paragraph-long heartfelt comment without upvoting and see if people call you out on it.
