Can Mark Zuckerberg jump in and buy Steemit if he sees it's potential ???

Could Mark Zuckerberg step in and buy a bunch of Steem so that he takes some ownership stake? Would it even be possible with the way the blockchain works?.

It is certainly an intriguing question for me. Facebook has dominated the social network world for a while now, and obviously has taken moves to protect it's dominance. Instagram for example.

In an earlier post I had talked about the potential of Steemit, but if this actually begins to grow they will certainly begin to notice. At last count if I'm not mistaken there are a little over 219000 accounts, but there does seem to be a lot of engagement and activity, which to me is what makes it interesting.

What do others think?

As much as they own, I wouldn't be opposed to it. I think it would bring more publicity and would become more accepted. My idea is that if celebrities and people who have influence in the mainstream begin posting on steemit then it will blast off more so than it already has! I can't wait to see what the price is at the end of the year.

Influencers are definitely needed. Thanks for commenting

That's a great question. Hopefully someone smarter than me can give us the answer.

I hope not, I think facebook is too big and owns too much already
