NOTE: the domain name displayed and the background image may be different from the above screenshot
If you click on “Login” in the circle, the following page will be displayed:
NOTE: the domain name displayed and the background image may be different from the above screenshot
The page displayed by the site is a fake SteemConnect login page!!
If you enter your credential, and click sign-in (something YOU SHOULD NOT DO), you will be displayed an error page
The goal of the creator of this website is clearly to steal your credentials to hack your account!
Preventive action activated
I will add any account sending phishing links to the black list of my Warning-Bot and it will issue warnings with a link to this post, notifying users of the malicious activity of those accounts.
If you find similar phishing attempts, contact me on steem.chat
To protect yourself, you can:
- always double check before clicking on a link, especially if this links take you away from steemit.com.
- verify the reputation of people writing comments on your posts. A user with a low reputation should trigger you attention.

reminder
A bit of paranoia is the basis of security.
There are a few simple rules to follow in order to avoid having your account hacked:
Rule 1: NEVER, I repeat, NEVER use or give your owner key or password!
Rule 2: Use your posting key to login, post and vote on trusted websites like steemit.com or busy.org.
Rule 3: NEVER give your active key as this key allows to control your funds! Only use your active key for special operation like money transfer or account update on trusted websites like steemit.com.
Rule 4: Anywhere else, if you are requested to provide any of the above key: RUN AWAY!!!
4 simple rules. It's not much to remember. Follow them scrupulously, and you will only have to laugh at unsuccessful attempts from scammers.
Spread the words, resteem this post to your friends, and you will make the platform safer.
Thanks for reading!
If you notice any new suspect activity like the one described above, drop a comment on this post or contact me on steem.chat
Thanks @arcange i mentioned you in a post recently if you got the time have a look.
Read and upvoted. Thx fir you support!
I started following you to get your latest warnings. Keep putting the info out there. Need to keep people informed to keep the reputation of Steemit clean.
Cool. Thanks a lot.
That's what I'm committed to do. Please consider to vote for my witness if you like my work on Steemit.
Thank you!
Gave you one vote. Figuring out how to give you all my votes :)
Looks like thats not possible haha
Hmmm ... All votes ... Yummy XD
Very good post... and it help a lot.
Thanks a lot for your sharing very important warning post.
Hi @arcange, Why are commenting against me? There is difference betweem steemitlover and steemit.lover2 and I've been on this platform since July 2017. Since then, mostly, I've been writing about Parenting, crypto and gadgets. If someone creates an account or website with bit similar names, that should not be someone else's fault. You're a witness at Steemit so you should be very responsible for what you post because people believe you more than what Dolphins or Minnows post. If you start posting and reporting other Steemians without any research or confirmation, you're not worthy of becoming a wintness at all and should resign right away.
I posted a screenshot of my vote for Steem at Gonetcoins site in the comments section of @drakos and you without any confirmation called me a confirmed scam there. Are you in favor of Steem or working for some other coin?
Please remove your comment and never post something that you have not checked and confirmed 100%.
With this comment of yours, I started getting a feeling that Steemit is not in safe hands.
Depressed!
Hello @steemit.lover2, I replied on your first comment.
As mentioned in my reply, this was a false positive triggered by the image you uploaded in your comment.
I am a responsible witness, but I am not 24x7 in front of a computer. I usually sort out this kind of problem in the shortest possible time, but unfortunately, last days have been overloaded for me.
So please apologize for the delay.
Hi @arcange. I use the phrase "steemlove" on twitter to show some love to neglected posts. You have incorrectly labelled one of my comments as a scam because I used that word. Can you put me on a white list or advise what I can do to prevent being labeled as a scammer, please? I never link to external sites

Unfortunately, my warning bot does not have a white list as any account my be potentially hacked and turned into a scam "gateway".
I will see if I can do something. Meantime, check my reply to your other comment.
Thank you. Yes, of course, I understand. Thanks for your assistance and quick response 😊
