reminder
A bit of paranoia is the basis of security.
There are a few simple rules to follow in order to avoid having your account hacked:
Rule 1: NEVER, I repeat, NEVER use or give your owner key or password!
Rule 2: Use your posting key to login, post and vote on trusted websites like steemit.com or busy.org.
Rule 3: NEVER give your active key as this key allows to control your funds! Only use your active key for special operation like money transfer or account update on trusted websites like steemit.com.
Rule 4: Anywhere else, if you are requested to provide any of the above key: RUN AWAY!!!
4 simple rules. It's not much to remember. Follow them scrupulously, and you will only have to laugh at unsuccessful attempts from scammers.
Spread the words, resteem this post to your friends, and you will make the platform safer.
Thanks for reading!
If you notice any new suspect activity like the one described above, drop a comment on this post or contact me on steem.chat
Great work @arcange, although can I ask why your 'vote for my witness' link goes through to (the real) Steem connect; why not just link directly to the witness page?
Thanks again, we need people like you :-)
Cg
Because I'm not in the top 50. A link to the "witness page" would require people to scroll down, type my name, put your active key ... so boring ;)
thank you for your information
thank you very much!
Ooh..my god but i do not join that link..cause my signal is bad last night....
But i follow that account...
I will unfollow
Got here late and because of this phishing scam showing up on one of my posts. Followed your Scam Alert warnings to this page and would resteem but cant. Instead, I will link to this article in a future post! Thanks for all you do!

Great list. Thank you sir @arcange
OMG! i already did...what can i do now?
Change password immediately! Especially owner key, master password, then it will generate a set of new keys for you.
Your account is low value, so this person is probably lying in wait until you make more, so change now!
Glad I didn't join that link. Thanks
Oh my god, thank you for information, my friend @abahfathir I think he is click there link yesterday
big thanks @arcange..your post serves as warning for us...👍👍
This is really really helpful. Scammers are everywhere :-( why can't they just make good post with quality contents and not stealing away the hardworks of a many steemians. It always hurt my heart everytime I hear steemians who have lost their accounts. :-(
I signed up. Please Help ME
Get new account keys NOW
click on your avatar on the upper right and change password
I am not sure how this works in detail, but you might need, after you got new master password, on the other keys to show the new ones.
Safe them in a safe place and be very careful to whom you give any key, and never give away master key.
Thank you for information @arcange

Nice post @arcange, but I don't see anything about upvotes sellers...
Anyway, We must fight againts scammers in steemit!
Great to hear there is a list.. it stinks to be surrounded by scammers. So what is the solution if you gave away any of these keys? Is it the end of yout Steemit account? What I miss is a solution.
Quite simple: if you are still in control of your account, change your password. Doing this, all your keys will be updated.
It might be if you gave you owner key.
Hay! Just wanted to thank you for doing all this work to try and clean up the fucking mess that the BOTS have made. Unreal hey? BOTS sure are StuPid eh? If they did something FUNNY from time to time, I wouldn't mind so much. But as it is -- they aren't really any more harm than a typical useful "idiot" - running around posting #commie claptrap or other such nonsense. #DoDolphinsScreamAtElectricSheep ? #BladeRunner #h2g2 #DOUGLASADAMS #VOGONPOETRY #OSC www.hatrack.com #endersgame #bean
Do you also get your info from the steemcleaners?
Because I reported that one from @ronald93 - albeit just for comment spam, since I didn't even thought about doing what he wanted from me ;)
I'm working with @steemcleaners. Glad to read you didn't felt in the trap.
Good job, thanks to you (and others like you) Steemit can be a better-safer place.
thank you for your input and suggestion
