Preventive action activated

I will add any account sending phishing links to the black list of my Warning-Bot and it will issue warnings with a link to this post, notifying users of the malicious activity of those accounts.

To protect yourself, you can:

  • always double check before clicking on a link, especially if this links take you away from steemit.com.

reminder

A bit of paranoia is the basis of security.
There are a few simple rules to follow in order to avoid having your account hacked:

Rule 1: NEVER, I repeat, NEVER use or give your owner key or password!

Rule 2: Use your posting key to login, post and vote on trusted websites like steemit.com or busy.org.

Rule 3: NEVER give your active key as this key allows to control your funds! Only use your active key for special operation like money transfer or account update on trusted websites like steemit.com.

Rule 4: Anywhere else, if you are requested to provide any of the above key: RUN AWAY!!!

4 simple rules. It's not much to remember. Follow them scrupulously, and you will only have to laugh at unsuccessful attempts from scammers.

Spread the words, resteem this post to your friends, and you will make the platform safer.

Thanks for reading!

Vote for my witness

Sort:

Idk if they're outright scams but I've seen quite a bit of 0.001 SBD value transfers with spam messages to my wallet lately. I know it isn't a new thing and they're honestly just throwing away that fraction of a percent of a SBD sending it to me bc I never use services of wallet spammers. That's just a personal rule of mine.

A lot of them claim they supposedly resteem to tens of thousands of followers (likely bs and if not the followers are dummy / low value acounts) including whales and you'll get a certain dollar amount of upvotes every time. I saw one who guaranteed votes from whales [rolls eyes]. Likely bs and if not the followers are dummy / low value accounts at best.

So, in summary, If it sounds too good to be true....it's. A. Scam! At least that's my policy.

Thanks for your hard work in trying to protect people. It hasn't gone unnoticed. I'm selecting you as my final wintess vote (got one open one left!).

Yes, resteem promises are all but valuable. A waste of money.
This is the business of scammers ... to sell dreams.

Thanks a lot for your witness vote, your very last one. I feel honored!

I used a resteem service and can attest they are not worth it. Is there a way to invite their .001 SBD ads : )

Thanks for informing the community

It is sad that this happens, and sometimes it is painful to reduce those compromised accounts to 0 reputations to become invisible but they become dangerous for the Steemit platform because the owner loses control of it and his account start spamming. The best thing is to teach people not to fall into the trap of these phishing sites.

This is the purpose of my detailed post. Not just pushing a warning comment, but also describing what's behind the scam and how it is perpetuated.

Great work. Keep up the fight!

Thanks for the useful information. I usually use the discord, what can I report through your discord sir?

Yes, I also have an account on Discord (same name).

Thank you Sir. I'll tell to you if I find phishing

Thanks for your help!

thank you for providing this very important information for us.

Thanks @arcange for posting this informative post... This is to notify to all Steemians.... To aware of the scammers.

What is your standing point concerning the auto-voters (like steemdunk and similar)?

And what is your opinion about the voting trails?

The last question, do you practice renewing the keys from time to time?

Thanks for important information sir.

Thank you for this information @arcange. It is help us to warn other steemit users on this kind of scam.

Thank you sir for your information @arcange

I wonder how many of these are the same 5 people doing them again, and again, and again.

Wow, that's a huge list of scams!
Thanks for the info, it was very valuable.

Just saying but you might want to fix a bug lmao...

Anyway nice work of marking spams :P Keep it up.

I would not say it is a bug.
As soon as you mention a phishing link in your post or comment, you will be considered (by my stupid bot) as a potential scammer and trigger its infamous warning process.

Probably you should let the bot follow shortlinks...not sure if it's feasible. That would probably take quite some bandwidth.

Already implemented ;)

Hey, just wanted to let you know I gave you an upvote because I appreciate your content! =D See you around

Hilarious!
