Having auto-votes turned on will maximize your curation rewards, meaning your steem power won't just sit around idle when you aren't able to be active on Steemit.
I've only been on Steemit 12 days now but missing the 'action' while I'm offline has been bugging me. Had heard of these two tools before and signed up for one but didn't implement.
