They have accepted this isn't going to be easy and they are ready to fight for their share of Steem.

Its already happening, sometimes the comment section feels like a battleground.lol

You're right tho, the main advantage we have right now is that we're early adopters who know their way around the platform.

As for the competitiveness I dont think it will become overwhelming immediately unless many current steemians stop blogging or the new steemians come in with lots of connections or beaucoup money to splurge on SP or bots.

Eventually they will be catching up tho and of course the new ones who are exceptional might leave us in dust from the begginning.
one thing that is certain is that old steemians will have to show their true colors.lol
