@steemero truth being honored and valued in a network is the aspect of steem that really attracts my attention. I have searched for a few years looking for an honest and supportive place to build a community around my art. Everywhere I looked my creativity was used to make some unknown guys money off of my efforts. And with no kind of rewards everyone is just trying to sell stuff to each other. This was no FUN. I grew tired of being forced to see ads for things I did not want buy. I thought there has to be a better way. Then last year I started to think if someone could just figure out how to build all of this social interaction on a Blockchain then we could do away with all the ads. I was thinking in the mining is the rewards for the system. If you can run a small wallet miner then you could reward all the users. This I realized is not a good solution the batteries already die too fast on mobile devices. Meanwhile I hear about steemit and do not realize what it is I finally get around to setting up an account and mess up the login process and burn my account. So I put it on the background and forget about steemit for a bit 6 months or so goes by and I am talking about the idea to setup an Allowistic token of Appreciation that I can use to show others my appreciation. And so I look into eth oh man that is way too expensive. In talking to my girlfriend @unityeagle about the crypto thing and how we can earn some and one day live our dream of being on a sailboat and sailing off to the Allowistic islands. When I start thinking about steemit again. @unityeagle signed up for an account and I end up making a new account. We met on an app called anchor.fm a voice based conversation app that turned into more of a podcast platform. During our getting to know each other, our love story was captured in all these lovely waves we made on anchor. Well the app team decided to pivot and the year worth of conversation and connections we made were broken. The links in our conversations are no longer valid. I spent a year and created over 10,000 original waves. And where did it go? The company could not make money on us just talking together and sharing our truth. This really frustrates me and it is what led me to moving my digital online home to the steemit platform.
This place is amazing I have the keys to my content and no one can decide to take down what we create. I fall so in love with the people here and the truthful expression of humanity, people talking and sharing their lives. I see that bitcoin is only valued against the fiat money and decided to move the bitcoin I bought earlier this year to steem and go all in so now it is less than a month in and I have 1237 steem power. This happened in a few waves of me coming to understand what the power behind this network really is, the people. The announcement of SMT spurred me on to move the last of my bitcoin to steem. @unityeagle and I are working on bringing voice to the steemit network so we can recreate the experience we hade on the anchor app but with the added bonus of holding the keys ourselves and the SMT allows us to make the Allowistic token of Appreciation to reward the users with along with them earning steem. I am so excited an just had to tell someone. So thank you for listening to my words.
