Nash Bros Explanation
Hey everyone! For those of you who are unaware, my childhood best friend, @dominicdigi, and I have our own podcast where we discuss everything from hysterical personal accounts to current events! Our most recent episode, up on Youtube and DTube is regarding Steemit! We talk about making quality posts, monetary transactions, and how to be an active and contributing member of the community! Background
Though I do go over, in detail, my personal advice for getting started on the platform and for creating quality content, I would love to reiterate it here.
Steemit is fantastic in the sense that it rewards authors for quality content where other blogging platforms do not. You can spend hours publishing article after article on other sites and applications with minimal or no acknowledgement. When you are a part of the Steemit community, there are continually members offering advice and constructive criticism that no only improves your writing but indirectly affects your income! It's a feedback loop of positivity.
Tips
The first aspect you want to focus on is the aesthetic of your post. What I mean by this is make it navigable. Create posts with headers of different sizes to separate ideas and incorporate bolded and italicized words to emphasize main points! A posts that is organized makes it easy to follow the concepts logically and it also allows for easy skipping around tailored to the reader's interest. If there is a short story of fact with no labeling then your posts somewhat appear cluttered.
Second, invest time and effort into your introductory post. This is where most of your revnue at first will come from. Make sure you incorporate the introduceyourself tag and include bright, quality pictures of yourself. Be authentic! Don't write about fitness because you think it's cool or trendy; write about what you love! I have quickly discovered that your passions are rewarded on Steemit. Creating articles about topics that you have experience in, are knowledgable in, or utilize habitually advertises your persona to others who may have similar feelings. For instance, I was approached by multiple people in the science world after my initial post detailing my love for the health sciences. It was quite a surprising experience. The best part is that these individuals become followers, instant upvotes, and pretty soon can equate to dollars. It's a business in which everyone is here to help one another grow.
Lastly, create content that you enjoy discussing. This should not be a chore for you; you should not dread posting. When you do plan out your posts you should be excited to share your personal opinions or experiences. This community is so vast you're bound to benefit in more than one way by extending your values and hobbies to the site. Also, do not think you are required to post every single day. Posting 2-3 times a week is plenty ample as long as it is well-thought out content with meaning.
Make organized, quality content about what you are truly passionate about. Establish relationships with fellow members of the community. Engage with followers and other authors.
