Today, I ventured out of my comfort zone and finally decided to invest in some cryptos and use my Jaxx wallet. I, of course, used my STEEM that I had sitting in my account for a little while and decided to invest it and use my jaxx wallet for the first time. I downloaded the app on my phone. This time, I decided to invest in litecoin, so I got my litecoin wallet address and copied and -pasted it, sent it to my email, then went to blocktrades and then got my deposit address and went through the whole process of transferring the STEEM into LTC.
The thing that is super cool about the Jaxx wallet is the fact that it has the ability to shapeshift, which is the ability to convert one of the cryptos into a different one, so you have and get the same amount of that one in another type of crypto. Which is a cool way to switch up your investments and invest in something else when opportunity comes about. My first time using the Jaxx wallet, I transferred about 23 STEEM into about a half of a litecoin (based on current prices). So my first ever investment or transfer was half a litecoin on the Jaxx platform.
I also want to take this opportunity to thank the blocktrades platform itself for making the transfer easy and reliable. Blocktrades is the way to go when it comes to trading your cryptos. A big thumbs up and a thank you to @blocktrades! Without you, this wouldn't be possible. I mean i'm sure there are other ways of doing it without blocktrades, but I don't know if they're legit.
And to everyone out there, we are at the prime time of technology, and crypto is only beginning to take a rise in acknowledgment. It is becoming more and more mainstream by the day, and the earlier we are to start using it, we will see that our patience has paid off. A big thanks to all of my supporters/followers...You guys mean so much to me. And have a positive sunday.
Very nice! I also like the jaxx wallet but I kinda got used to the coinomi. Equally as easy to use but a whole lot of more coins supported.
So you gonna HODL or are you spending it?
Probably going to HODL as of now.
Good job!
thanks for explaining process. good luck !
sweet content la :}
I used blocktrades for my first crypto purchase about a week ago. I was clueless, they were very helpful. I also suspect that I made a mistake but they just handled it and my transaction went of without a hitch. I am now the proud owner of 0.0004 bitcoin... lol!
Never heard about Jaxx before today! Thanks!
congrats on your new entry in to crypto..
Not sure what or how to use Blocktrades. Where is a good place to go to learn about it? And I'm not sure I would have traded out of Steem... not yet anyway! he he
Atomic swaps can change everything!
Thanks for the info. i didn't realize that you could use your Jaxx wallet to transfer steem. :)
yeah, you just have to use blocktrades
Great, thanks for your info ☺
Upvote and followed
Good info!
bittrex is also a great place to do your trades man!! just a little tip..better prices on that exchange then blocktrades
Good on you!
Thank you for your info about Jaxx as I've never heard about it before. Another great wallet is called EXODUS. I really recommend it. It was the first desktop wallet that start using Shapeshift and already 14 currencies available.
Hey great article. I am still waiting to be verified on gemini exchange. Don't worry once I buy I don't intend to leave currency on the exchange just transfer it to a wallet. I actually have heard of Jaxx, they had some sort of hack happen to them. They made a statement like it's still a great wallet and didn't change anything. I don't remember what exactly happened, just something to be aware of. You know something you can research yourself. But Jaxx is a phone wallet ,right?, probably good for a hot wallet though. Well I'm a noob but I am trying to understand so take what i say with a grain of salt , because I may have misunderstood something. But great article :)
good job i want to do the same but a bit apprehensious as it seems confusing i dont want to get it wrong, but if you can at 14 then i should be able to handle it at 30 lol :)
Well done! You are way ahead of me, so lead on. Thanks for sharing, it is very helpful to see you doing this.
