Several people have died in clashes between protesters and security forces, hours before the constituent assembly's election.

An 18-year-old boy died on Friday when he was shot in a demonstration in the western Venezuelan city of San Cristobal, bringing the death toll to nearly four months, the prosecutor said.
Gustavo Villamizar "was shot by firearm when he was in a demonstration near the Liceo Alberto Adriani," the Venezuelan Attorney General's Office announced in a Twitter account announcing an investigation into the case.
