Another winter came. Last year I went to Hunan, the hometown of Mao Zedong, the founding head of China. The first place to go is Zhangjiajie National Forest Park, which is as beautiful as fairyland.
As the first National Forest Park in China, Zhangjiajie National Forest Park covers an area of 4810 hectares, equivalent to more than 6700 standard football fields. It is divided into scenic spots such as Huangshizhai, Tianzishan, Yangjiajie, Yuan Jiajie, Jinbianxi and Shili Gallery. More than 3,000 finger-like peaks are springing up with beautiful scenery, which will surely make you indulge in and obsessed with them. The famous movie Avatar is the scenery of the suspension mountain.
Tianmen Mountain is the highest mountain in Zhangjiajie. Its main peak is 1518.6 meters. It is named for Tianmen Cave, a natural wonder. Tianmen Cave crosses north and south. It is 131.5 meters high, 57 meters wide and 60 meters deep. It is like a gateway to the sky. It has been named Tianmen Mountain since then. It is famous for the Russian Soviet 27 fighter planes flying over Tianmen Cave in 1999. Tianmen Mountain has Asia's longest mountain passenger cable car 7455 meters, Nine Curves Tongtian Avenue 99 bends, glass trestle, the largest aerial garden and so on.
Founded in the forty-third year of Kangxi in the Qing Dynasty (1704), the ancient city of Phoenix is one of Hunan's top ten cultural heritages. It has been praised by New Zealand writer Louis Alley as the most beautiful town in China. It is comparable to the ancient city of Lijiang in Yunnan and Pingyao in Shanxi, and enjoys the reputation of "Beipingyao and South Phoenix".
