The Egyptian satellite, Egypt Sat A, was launched Thursday from Russia's Baikonur cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, Russian cosmonaut Ross Cosmos said.

Flight tests will be conducted within 3 months, after which control of the satellite will be transferred to the Egyptian side.

The satellite, EgyptSatA, was created jointly with Russia and is scheduled to replace the satellite, which was lost in February 2015 after it was launched on April 16, 2014.

The moon is an Egyptian industry and its management is 100 percent Egyptian, and it exceeds the 11-year-old age because it is a satellite.

The new moon allows for the demarcation of the boundaries and features of urban planning and the policy of drawing new features in Egypt, in addition to studying the development of water sources and monitoring what happens on the ground of natural and industrial phenomena.
The launch was witnessed by a high-ranking Egyptian delegation led by the head of the National Authority for Remote Sensing and Space Sciences, Mahmoud Hussein, former Egyptian space program chief Ali Sadiq, the head of the satellite's satellite department Mohammed al-Qusi, a Russian delegation from Russian space agency Ross Cosmos, Rockets and satellites "Inergia", the institution that made the Egyptian satellite.
