PARIS (Reuters) - French car maker Renault said on Monday it was in talks with its Japanese partners Nissan and Mitsubishi Motors over a new alliance entity comprising the three companies.
Renault said in a statement: "In response to recent press reports, Renault confirms that it is in talks with its partners in the alliance Nissan Motor and Mitsubishi Motor on the establishment of a new alliance entity to improve and ensure more cooperation.
"The proposed arrangement will not have an impact on the existence of the restructured Master Alliance Agreement, nor on the structure of mutual ownership ownership, which will remain in effect," the company said.
