I hear you buddy. You have taken the time to write something from the heart and you get sod all in return. Meanwhile someone writes “STEEM r gud!” And gets $500. Galling. Like you I will persist for a wee while then sack it.

Yeah. That's probably the way I'll do it too. Sort of fade out with a whimper. I don't mind writing for free, but I'll do it on my blogs, then I don't have any corruption to worry about, except my own.
Plus I make enough from the Amazon links to pay for my hosting fees for the year. It used to cost me about $200/year to write, now it really is free.
