Our educational systems must be in line with our cultural reality. But it's saddening that very little will change too cause apart from the fact that most of our people believe western is synonymous to quality. The West(China included) wouldn't ALLOW Africa to evolve at her(Africa) pace. Also, democracy might just not be the best system for us.
I have had this conversation with one of my professors. We need to find what suits us as a people. I hope we evolve to a system that will fit our idiosyncrasies especially the vast varieties of language and ethnicity per country. No other place in the world has such diversity. I feel Africa is a script And any leader that doesn't fall in line is neutralized. All French colonies are controlled by France,Nigeria beholds to Britain,Beg for aids,Follow her policy detects, Now China has joined in raping us. Not one country is independent absolutely. However, our level of independence has been increasing over the years. Let's say realignment. we move away from British and move to China.
Africa has a value that can never be eradicated but we have leaders that are not in line with the principles of history and leadership. Perhaps. But I’d like to say that every nation that has prospered did so as a result of having a statistically significant progressive citizens and not as a result of the leaders’ superpowers. The leaders are the people as well, made from the same stock as the people. I don’t fight the citizen leader/leader citizen class.
