Hi everyone,
You can't wait for summer like me too? Long-awaited rest, drinks with a palm tree, water and beaches ... or better wind in the sails and slow sailing from marina to marina.
I love the sea and sailing, it's one of my passions that my father infected me. Since I was a child, I used to go to the lakes with him and then everything changed after sailing to the open sea. You must have skills there. Sometimes it's like in movies and sometimes you can really rely only on yourself and the rest of the crew. The sea will check you very well. When the weather is worse and you are 10 nautical miles away from the shore and your GPS get down, it's good to be able to read maps or orient yourself through the stars. We have such a situation and I almost flip overboard, then the metal ropes stopped me. Believe me at 22:00 to be thrown overboard, 10 nautical miles from the shore is almost always = death. Life flew through my eyes and I thanked God for the metal rope that held me attached to the cables. After crawling back onto the deck, I had to quickly secure the boom so that it wouldn't do us more damage. All in a few minutes, I lost count of time. The sea will ALWAYS check you, remember my words.
But I will not threatening you here how I do it. I leave with my father every year. It's for us the culmination of a successful year or just a rest from the city and everyday matters. We know that our people will manage in companies without us for two - three weeks. I could say that we have an irreplaceable team, because they never called when we were away (hehe) and the companies are still standing as we return. Our journey usually starts either in Gdynia or in Świnoujście depending on where exactly the yacht is standing. But let's assume that we start in Gdynia. When we unpack the car and take all things on board, we leave immediately. Our trip lasts from two to three weeks - this is how long the entire Polish coast goes this way and back. We start as I mentioned from Gdynia and the first stop is Hel, then Władysławowo (there are always the best parties on the beach), then Ustka, Kołobrzeg and Świnoujście. I always like to stay in Świnoujście for couple days, it is a multicultural city. We are visited by Germans, Swedish, French, English and even Spanish people. But Germans (I'm sorry I don't want to offend anyone, I'm here under very big admiration for you) always 8:00 in the morning, everyone gets up and go to the inn for morning coffee and in the evening, we end up with shanties, beer, feast and singing. A truly friendly nation.
Then we sail back the same route. When sailing, when the wind is favorable, you can read a book (my favorite activity to do) or just admire the beauty of our world. For me it is a time for reflection. Gather thoughts, relax and think about all year with a cooled head. Get the conclusion from failures. Thinking over all the victories and it's the best time but it is already a professional deviation for planning next steps. Most of the ideas for my businesses or investments came to me at sea. By the way, have you started to look at the investment in drinking water? You don't think that this can be a good investment, since there are more and more people on Earth and more and more demand for food, and yet almost 75% of fresh water goes to produce our food.
It isn't without reason that the person who predicted the property crisis in 2007 started investing in water.
With Love,
Wojciech
Beautiful story and photography, Wojciech! I will be following your adventures with interest :)
By the way, you should not 100% Power Up your posts right now because you are going to lose on rewards. As long as the price of Steem Dollars (SBD) is above $1, you should chouse 50/50 when creating your posts. It may sound confusing now, but the more time you spend on the platofm, the more you'll learn how things function :)
Cheers and have a great day!
Okey, thank You very much for information, I will do 50/50 :)
good call @irreverent-dan!
Great post @adoonz! I fell in love with sailing after falling overboard and holding on to a stanchion for my life... that day i almost died or sabotage the whole race 3 times... it became my passion ever since :)
It looks like a beautiful boat too, would love to hear more about it.
What was the latest book you read while sailing?
