Post this on your Facebook! :) -Adam
Good points. I think there is room for both FB and Steemit in the market. There will always be things that FB does better, but Steemit will always be my favorite.
Facebook has one thing it does way better than Steemit - frustrate the crap out of me! The other day an important message from my own Dad - who I AM friends with on FB, and DO follow and have marked as my Dad in the family section, - was put into my filtered inbox, so I didn't get a notification about it. I only saw it 2 days later. In the meantime, my Dad thinks I'm purposely ignoring him, because he sees me online. That was the final straw for me, I hate Facebook.
But Still Facebook has a major effect , simply i didn't know that you are on steemit untill you shared this post on Facebook so yeah has pros and cons .
On Steemit you are not targeted by advertisements that know what emotional buttons to press to get you to believe or buy something. https://steemit.com/dtube/@bardionson/ukemp4am

The power they have to spread false information by microtargeting is dangerous.
I still use both.
I'm addicted. One Facebook login is too many, and a thousand is not enough. It's one thing to be addicted when my business was booming on FB, but now using it is mainly compulsive and I always feel worse after using it.
