My gift offering to you today: The 30 tags that have earned you the most SBD.
Hello all!
The first 'tag' is unchangeable - If you try to edit a recent post you'll find out. This tag becomes the 'category' associated with your content.
Which category do you think has earned you the most STEEM Bummed Dollars?
Why this data could be useful
It might not! It may just show which category you choose the most :)
But, it could give you an idea of where to focus your next posts, or which order to place your tags. Or, you may just like to know just how much your tags have paid you.
The list will look something like this:
Category | Total_SBD | Total_SP | No. of Posts | Average SBD/Post |
---|---|---|---|---|

A closer look
In my history, I've posted 58 times with 'steemit' as my first tag (category), and I expected this tag to be the highest payout, or at least close to 'utopian-io'.
What I found though, was that 2 one-off posts with unusual tags actually rewarded me on average, 2/3 times more than my more regular 'steemit' category posts.
'dtube' averages better than 'utopian-io' too, which was also a surprise to me.
So, who wants to see their data?

Have I made up to 30 posts combined? Well, whatever comes, let's see where I should post the next post on. Please, show me mine. Thank you
Hello @abh12345
Can you have a peep at my stats too?😁
Yes of course :)
There you go. Do they look as expected?
Yes thanks... I was sure #christianity will take the top spot. But wasn't so sure of the rest tags!
Over time i think I'll stick with #christianity #health and #poetry.
Thanks @abh12345 ... You are the man
Cheers
My pleasure, thanks for dropping by!
Nope @dtube is not surprising coz I believe @dtube is getting more traffic.
But wait a minute, how u do it? :D
The tagging system around here makes no sense to me. It just seems like you throw a random tag on a post ant then go hit the bid bots for some votes. Boom... trending page.
bahaha!
When you get raped at the last minute with a 100 SBD send to buildawhale
i made you a thing. :)
Okay, Asher. I never thought that I would ever say this, but you have me hooked on stats! I guess you can teach an old dog new tricks.
Hooked on stats... I think you need a long walk outside :D
Quite interesting the top 2? And did you spell homestead wrong at some point?! hehehe
Its those 3 am posts. They do it every time! :} Perhaps I need to soak my head in the ocean during my morning walks. That should clear it up! :D Thanks, Asher!
I've only used maybe 10 different tags I think, but let's see what you got. Muchas gracias 😊
My highest paying tag is #poetry.
Which is not surprising since over 90% of my posts are haikus.
You are quite right! :D
Yup, just as expected.
What tools do you use to get your stats?.
I'm currently tracking my stats with good old fashioned pen and paper.
I pretty much know (I think!) what I will get but still.. shoot :D
wow, this one will be cool to know, I have strong feeling about one particular tag being the most rewarding one for me. But let's see, may I ask you to please get the details for me @abh12345?
Sure :) And congrats on rep 60 :D
I hope this is of use/interest to you :)
Thank you @abh12345, happy to be at 60 rep.
Thanks for the stats, as expected, my daily blog with 125 posts is among top. Yes, definitely this is interesting. I am now a regular follower of your stats posts, those are really interesting.
Good day :)
I think I have an idea which one I use the most, but let's see what the statistics say??
Plssssssssssss, I want to see my data.
I'd be very interested to see what mine looks like. I'm going to get guess that writing and drawing might be at the top, with possibly steemit. :) Also, I'm going to guess that my list has more than two but less than 27.
Thanks for another sweet offering. Now I’m curious! Could you do ours? Thanks!
Please make this list for me :)
I really wonder what my best tag is. I keep some of my own stats in a spreadsheet, but I haven't kept track of tags. I do keep track of which wild plants I have included in each post, though, lol. Important stats! ; )
I bet Utopian will be the 1st in my list, or maybe Introduceyourself
I won't ask for you to pull ours. :) We have so few posts, so I can just scroll down. It is interesting to see the different tags used by others. How interesting that your top 2 rewarding tags are both related to anomadsoul. I also see a lot of curie curators keeping an eye on the my2018 tag. That one is definitely a winner tag.
Yes, i think I need to tap him up for another post soon! :)
I've noticed that too re: 'my2018' - something to consider for both curation, and for producing content.
If only I had time to write and wow everyone with my talent. I have to pick up a hobby besides steemit..no one wants to read about steemit all the time.
Do you want me to tell @davemccoy that you need some time off? :D
Very true re: steemit - @osm0sis has to be dragged kicking and screaming to look at most of my posts! haha
True story. In fact, I was forced to comment on this one!
And look what you got in return!
0.015 :D
Yay.
Haha, if only boss @davemccoy would listen! He's always giving me another stay-tuned or another.
I might invest in some lens for my camera this spring..learn photography and post some awesome photos of my perfume collection. Maybe then I can receive a curie upvote too? On my personal account, of course. ;)
@osm0sis loves art and culture and some sassiness! Utopian..charts..interesting..but no pretty pictures! You will never be curied this way.
HAHA!! Your sarcasm is showing... ;)
Darn, I was trying to be subliminal with my words...
Cool that you keep coming with these awesome lists!
And let me be so kind to give you some free advice 😀
Of you go a day-out you better don't post about it. Just put it on Dtube. 😬😁
They didn't vote my last 4/5, and for the one they did it cost me $500 to buy a GoPro to film dolphins!
But i may give them another chance at some point :)
If you're still hanging around this post Asher, I'd love to see mine. Thanks so much!
I missed this somehow, but if the boat has sailed to other shores that is okay. Now is the list based on just the first Tag?, because I pretty much for the last three months have not changed my first tag. If you are still doing this though, I would be interested in knowing. Thanks.
Mine shouldnt be too long but lets give it a shot? Would be interesting to know! Thanks :)
if you're still doing these I'd love to see mine Asher :)
I'd like to see mine @abh12345! I know that the tags I use most probably aren't my most profitable, though I wish they were! Tags don't have too much bearing on earnings, though do they? Especially if we are promoting in Discords and such. Maybe it would be easier to trend in some than others, assuming you aren't using vote bots.
Hi there ! Little help for the newbie here. Excited to know mine. Thank u!
Sure let's have a look...
Not much to go off so far, but i hope it helps :)
Oh .. there's alot things to do from here. Thanks al lot for helping me out @abh12345. ;)
Let's go Asher. Bring it! :)
Hi! Sorry to off topic, where I can report about spam-comments with suspicious links? In advance thank you for the answer! (here is the link https://steemit.com/@ironyan )
Perhaps here? https://steemcleaners.org/abuse-report/
I will try! Thank you so much!
Hi @abh12345
Would you be as kind as to post mine?
No problem :)
34 in the introduceyourself tag? I think you need to switch it up a bit!
EDIT: That damn tag! Always causes problems :)
You didn't get a noteworthy payout on the introduceyourself post, so there's just 1 that has paid out so far..
Thanks for spotting that!
Hi @abh12345
That cannot be accurate, I have 14 post only in total and have only ever used introduceyourself once.
I'm not sure what could be the problem...
You are right, thanks for spotting that - damn intro tag! I have edited the above.
Thanks a mil
Still new here looks like but I'll get there. Sorry for wasting time I thought there might be more.
I think I have an idea which one I use the most, but let's see what the statistics say.?
@abh12345😁
It was very informative.thanks for it.....keep doing like this type of post..
I have to agree. It is very informative. All his posts are actually. This one in particular since it shows where the actual payouts are with regards to the posts that we make. It is common for people to filter the top paying tags and think, "That's where I need to post," without really doing any other investigation, such as finding out what the ratio of posts to payout is, thus knowing whether or not the per post payout is truly significant, or the tag is just high in payouts due to the sheer number of posts. Also, it would be good to pay attention to the number of comments per post, which always seem to be incredibly low. Since comments, if they're thoughtful and on point with the topic, are another source of revenue here, I'm personally surprised more people aren't doing more of it.
Your post earned well on STEEMIT tag. Informative................
Yes, this particular post is doing quite well in the Steemit tag, but as he pointed out, Steemit was not at all his number one tag paid out overall. Which I actually find to be more informative than how well this post is doing/will do in the Steemit tag, since that is one of the more popular tags to use on Steemit. A lot of Steemit-themed posts, as you could well imagine, since there always seems to be a lot to talk about regarding the Steemit platform, especially what would be nice to have on it.
Very interesting. I'm pretty surprised by a few things there. Something to consider.
Yes it is. Very interesting. I don't know that I'm surprised by the possibility of niche tags paying out more as I am that people are finding so many different topics to write about. Or at least, that would seem to be indicated by the tags they use. The proper use of tags, as well as the maximization of them for purposes of rewards are probably side topics for another post, but those things are of interest, I believe to most of us here.
Bro i always try to use popular tag to earn go but if find that popular tag feed rotate very fast. So you post can be touch the bottom in 1 min. which is bad.
Till date i never get such magic tag which gives me such nice earning. I will surly try the tags which is suggested by you.
Update
I wish i to get this kind of date so i find which tag is helpful for me.
Well, I don't think he's suggesting any tags, but it is true, there isn't one surefire tag. If you're hoping to get to the top of a trending page, even in a tag, that's going to be tough, just because most of the folks that end up there are either high in SP, using bidbots, or both. I'd say the best bet is to keep consistent, find the few tags that you know you might have some expertise in, and try to build a following. And in addition to that, it's a good idea to leave clear and thoughtful comments on other people's posts about what they're talking about so people know you're around. That more than trying to get the trending pages will help with post rewards, especially in the earlier stages of Steemit.
@glenalbrethsen noted bro. I will remind everything you said to me. So i think i misinterpret @abh12345 post. Very useful information.
Thanks Dear for helping me.
All the information you enjoyed here is very good and it is very useful for us that you wrote a lot of great writing and many of your information related information that was very good.
I'm not speaking for him at all, but I agree, it is very good and useful what he's written here. I would also say why it is. For one, as I've mentioned in other comments on this page, it's helpful to know which tags you're using are doing what in terms of rewards. That way, you can determine if those are the tags you want to continue to use or not. I think it will also help in determining what might be most appropriate to use subject wise, since tags that are used that aren't quite on topic won't do as well as those that are, and may even get flagged for perceived misuse. Kind of like comments.
Tag's are most important during posting.Very helpful post.
You're quite right. I don't think I could have said that better myself. In fact, I can't think of a single better use of tags here than during posting. Especially when you know which tags you're using are consistently the most rewarding. If you know that, than you have the potential of more eyes and rewards on your posts.
Hit me, plz
(SteemIt will be 1, lol)
Will do! :D
busy wins! hehe
surprising...
I will have to start using Busy.org again to post some gardening and crypto posts, I guess :0)
So silly: my one single video post of a song of one of my friends was more profitable than my average SteemIt post...
That will be great i guess my high would be in life :D
During my trip, I really miss your analysis. Can I get your statistics ?, if it's not difficult for you.
Yes please! So glad I saw this.
