Thanks, @liltammy! The sauce is like a sweet and sour potato salad, in some ways. With the vinegar, brown sugar, and black pepper. I grew up eating a lot of cooked lettuce because all our relatives had big gardens. When the lettuce started getting too old, everyone made a lot of this!
