Great article! I wrote a similar one and an added tip is to "shop the perimeter of the store" that is where all the fresh foods are. I have saved hundreds of dollars not going up and down every aisle. Learning to cook fresh from scratch can be a challenge, but worth it in the long run. I'm so glad to see someone shares the same passion. I make a lot of dishes with black beans these days and they can be made into most anything.
