Problem is that you linked it with your facebook, like me, and you can't materially touch it, because you can always recover it back.
Cant you just change the password?
yeah but the "ex-owner" would be able to recover their "old" account and take all your steem dollars
and steem ;)
In that way you can claim it's been stoled account and you freshly recover it back like nothing happened.
