RE: So Long and Thanks for all the Meat! + A Veggie Burger for the Carnivores

Nice, I stopped eating meat again because of all the gross meat stuff on my facebook feed. Trust me, you don't even want to know. Besides, I lost 10 pounds going vegetarian. Meat is high in cholesterol... Some of the biggest body builders are vegan.

Way to go Johnny. That's awesome! With a little creativity vegetarians don't have to sacrifice anything to do what feels right to them!

Why did you give up your vegetarianism?

Back in 2011-2012 time frame I started as a vegetarian, I moved to vegan, then I actually went raw vegan for a few months. I lost a ton of weight and felt amazing. Gradually, I started eating unhealthy foods again, went back to eating meat, then gained more weight then I ever gained. I started taking boxing classes over the last 6 months getting back into shape and then went vegetarian/vegan again.

So it was more of a health choice? That's great. I was also vegan for a time (and yeah, shed some pounds). Your're right the unhealthy stuff creeps back in. It's hard, expensive, and takes time! I don't always eat the most healthy of foods... I will never say that this burger is healthy! It's a struggle to eat healthy, BUT to me there is absolutely no temptation to eat meat ever again.
