There are many people who I have seen on here that write quality content and have been doing such for quite some time and can't make ten bucks, then someone like Adam full of weird idea's that most time's he can't cohesively put together walks in and he's handed a big delegation of power....not because he produces quality content but because he can bring in new people....and that's all good in and of itself because he is still contributing to the community via being able to bring in more contributors but it should not escape him that everyone pulls from the rewards pool, most his post should consist of quality content like the above or some of his videos but posting memes that basically add no value overall is just taking money away from others who I have seen busting their balls on here for a long, long time and getting little in return.

Adam did not make Steemit and in my humble opinion there is nothing wrong with people learning the way that it works and then exploiting that. No matter how this platform works there will be those who do that. So singling someone out who is playing by the rules is not the way to address these grievances. We should advocate for changes against the rules that we do not like. Steemit has to both bring in lots of new people and reward those that attract people. Would it be better if they just gave Adam some money or Steem outright? Right now he still has to do some work for it. Although we may not like the work he does mostly, he is putting the work in. I also work hard on my content but I also realize understanding how everything works is the real key to being successful here. The more you learn the better you will do and that has nothing to do with @AdamKakesh. By the way one way to make this all work the way we want is to support those who write the content we want to see. There are many groups attempting to do this. Join some of them like I have Adsactly is one. There are many others. Thanks all.
That was the whole point....they did. He got a huge delegation of power given to him just because he can bring in people...not that he has a whole lot of quality content. Interviewing someone on the street for three minutes who makes no sense is not quality nor is posting a meme of a kid on the floor. If he wants to maintain followers outside his mainstream they don't want to see someone who didn't have to work hard at all at getting his power abuse that power to rip off the rewards pools that they are struggling to get higher rewards from themselves....the less in the pool the less money to go around.
Everyday I get on here I see post of people advocating for changes. The only real changes I see are the ones were people with the money and knowledge creating bots like the transparency bot that go around and call people out abusing the system by bringing notice of the abuse in their comment section. Same way with scammers, someone made a bot that goes looking for them and warns people commenting they are scamming. Why these people do this is because no one seems interested in actually fixing the system of abuse so each have taken and invested their time and energy into fighting it instead in whatever area they feel compelled to do so. There are constant calls to users to call out these people but most fear the consequences of being flagged or harassed by someone with more power. After constantly reading the pleas of people to come forward and help I have decided to try and engage in a positive manner when I see it. To see if I can have a positive dialogue with people about it instead of just calling them names like cheaters or rapers. Adam is the third person I approached with this concept, one of three responded back and we have a good conversation about it. She was abusing bots for hundreds. My approach was can you get a fifteen percent (what she claimed she got by doing it) return on a hundred dollar deposit if you put your money in the bank overnight. I told her no one can fault her for using bots otherwise you make no money after working hard on a article....not that she was writing articles she was running contest that enabled her to do very little posting the same contest over and over again. I don't know if she stopped but I think I gave her food for thought, I upvoted her comments back to me in appreciation we could talk about it without getting angry. I know I am not going to make money posting articles, like I said I've already seen how useless that endeavor really is on here, people much more skilled then myself have been at it a lot longer with most barely hitting five or ten dollars for it, that's why I comment more then write stuff. I write enough just to contribute something but mainly I am just a blogger, been doing it for three years now and I enjoy doing it. Adam has learned how to manipulate the system using the power he was given...he never earned it, it was given to him by someone with lots of power, it's not fair to everyone else that he uses it to manipulate the system. Today as soon as I log in I see another whale talking about the abuse from those who are putting up numerous post each day without regard to quality just because they know they can make a hundred bucks off it. That's three, four, five post a day which amounts to hundreds of dollars out of the rewards pool for very little effort. I mean come on, have a little respect for the people you are taking that money away from who are working a whole lot harder then taking a minute to post some stupid meme. Respect goes a long way....as a matter of fact it's the whole premise he builds his campaign on....people respecting each other instead of needing government to intervene to force people to respect each other. If he can't respect the system then in the long run the system will fail, then Steemit will be forced to regulate the system to avoid going under. They know it's coming, they talk about it everyday...no different then if banks gave out ridiculous interest on deposits they can't sustain...eventually they'd run out of money.
Thanks for your heartfelt comments. I really appreciate them but I think that you are not considering some things that are really important. First If they are delegating SP to Adam it is because he has earned it. They are making an investment in him with the belief that the return would be greater. It is up to him to make good on that investment or it will stop. Second, no matter hw you build a platform there will be people with a range of interests. Some will start out with good intentions and then change and the opposite will happen. This is one of the reasons you want so many members because you can catch people going in both directions. This platform is trying to figure out its way. Everyone can say that the goal is to reward good content, but how many people can actually write good content. Very few. But supposed some of those people can attract people who can write good content or buy Steem? Are they valuable? These are business decisions. To me there are two choices. if you come here to write and read good content, then you should not be concerned with the rewards pool. If you are concerned about it for yourself or for other writers who write good content, simply learn how the system works and get paid that way. These are the only two options. One brings peace of mind and the other, the option for financial success. You should not expect any other options from a platform like Steemit. I can guarantee you that no matter how this platform operates there will be a group that thinks it is unfair and hates it. So with this in mind either work within the system or just write and whatever happens, happens. In the meantime as I suggested, advocate for the changes you want to see. Believe me others are doing it and the platform will see changes based on this lobbying. I purposely did not discuss fairness because fairness is subjective. If you only search for that, you will only be disappointed. Instead think about what you really want and work towards that only. All the best to you.
I guess you missed Adam's first take at Steemit was to leave because he was disappointed his intro post only made a thousand dollars. Poor baby, people on here writing good content way better than his getting pennies and he's crying he got a thousand bucks. He didn't earn anything it was given to him and I hardly doubt he's been a boom for the platform...most of his followers aren't coming here just to follow him.
Like I said I am a blogger, it's a hobby, I know I can join a group who could take the things I write and make them appear better...then it's not me then is it?...it's someone else making me look good. Lots of things in life are a matter of principle and pride to which a lot of people sell that out for profit if they can. Where does that leave us?....living in a anarchy state of everyone cheating to get over on everyone else.
I don't disagree with you. I am not advocating either anarchy or cheating. I am only saying that he is working the system and it is one he did not design. So can we really be angry with him or the designers? Your desire for an equitable and fair community I completely agree with, but how do we get there. Steemit is an experiment. there have been lots of claims made and now they are trying to see if those claims can actually work. We will all see. Perhaps Adam has it right. I cannot tell right now. perhaps you can. But by my observation he is the rule right now rather than the exception. He may be more blatant or less sophisticated about it, but from what I can see, the majority of those who have are padding themselves. Just my thoughts.
