If you check on steemnow it will show your current Voting Power, steemd does too, but basically your votes lose effectiveness as your voting power goes down, and they slowly recharge. One vote every 2.4 hours would be the theoretical maximum rep boost, but roughly 10 votes per day will keep you in the upper bound.
