I believe there're some add-values on every dApp projects even if they're copycat idea of traditional apps because they distribute the profit of the platform to more diverse group of people instead of just the company and its investors.

I also think Product Hunt has pivoted into a different group of users these days by focusing more on company founders and investors instead of early-adopter community (since they got acquired by Angelist), so the space that Product Hunt targeted on its earlier days has become empty. I believe Steemhunt can sustain the business without pivoting into similar ways because we can keep motivating hunters by rewarding.
