Have you ever imagined that you can reply someone else's video by your video? I remember that @nathanmars suggested to have some Dtube reply campaign couple of months ago, and this tool exactly shows how it will look like.
It's still kinda early-stage but has huge potential to be linked with many other communities like @dtube creators.

video response on top of any video hmmm well i have never heard about it and yes never imagined as well. this tool will work any video any platform right? because just dtube tag is emphasizing this tool will work for only dtube video :P well good news for dtubers then they can get replies in from of videos now.
Hey @xawi, if you're curious - there where some tries before to do similar things, like you can see it in the other comments.
You can also use the tool with YouTube videos. The URLs can just be embedded on our website. As well as uploading videos directly from the gallery or spontaneously recording new ones.

Absolutely unique and must be one of its kinds. I don't know of any other platform where such a feature is possible. It would be interesting to see how far it can go.
There are some other attends that were tried around 2008, if you're curious. Are you a video creator yourself? Glad to share you a link to try it! :)
This is quite useful tool for video content creators and I have also see few reply videos in Dtube. I hope they use this tool and make their reply content creation easy. Nice find.

also this was tried before by viddler.. .. but the timeline got too crazy so i wonder if they got around that issue.

NO WAY! super awesome. good move man! yeah, i could tell you a lot about trying to make that whole thing work, back in the day was a company called viddler that had this very same thing but it failed because of how busy the progress bar got with replies, if they limit that or come up with a better way to present it then they will do great.
Cool to know that Viddler tried it, I didn't knew that. We'll try to get in touch with them. And yes you are definitely right about the progress bar getting to cluttered, we actually have an other UX in pipeline for that, which we think could solve this problem :

yeah i like that, that's a good solution. i've been a user of many video platforms like viddler, blip.tv, blab, seesmic etc over the years. happy to give feedback.
if i was you, i'd be buiding some kind of plugin for all the steem frontends that allows people to live inline video comments if they have your plugin extension, charge them a fee in steem per month to use it ;)
or if you are feeling really brave build a custom condenser but for mobile and cookie cutter your app to fit around 'communties' for people who have a steem-engine.com token -- that way you could build out dedicated apps for personalities who have their own tribe spaces where the people who comment get incentivized.
either way, you've got some great cross overs here you could do! :)
also, here, some inspiration from a platform i used with a 100 other people that was made in flash over 11 years ago.. it was awesome...

omg i found one of the '24hrs on seesmic videos too' -- you can see just how bad the quality was but lots of people used to have conversations around it -- then they edited it together as a video to put out daily. i'd love to host that kind of thing again!
Many have tried this before, even youtube tried this video response but they discontinued it, I want a successful project like this one because many have tried this but failed, but I know some project that is trying to build this video response to the video.

Yeah, that would be awesome to have the ability to reply to video by a video response. I fancy that this can be integrated into dtube. Dtubers are especially gonna love it.

Yes I think so as well. Dtube is an awesome cumminty for that. And it should be easy to integrate as we are providing an iframe of the player
Looks like an amazing Tool, replying with the video will take the conversation on the high level, It will be easy to understand and question the author about the video.
Exactly. We focus on the contextual relevance by enabling time-tagging functionality :) We are hoping to unlock a new-seen way of engagement with video content
Wow this is so interesting idea! I've not yet tried to make my own video, but watched several interactive videos from the website. I really like the concept, but one thing it may need to be improved is about the way of playing reply videos. I have to keep clicking the pin buttons to see the replies, and many times the video get rewinded or forwarded.
Why don't you make a little button saying "auto play"? If so, the video will play automatically all the reply videos together so that I don't need to be bothered to keep clicking the pin icons.
Anyway I love the concept and can see great fit with video creators!

I absolutely love this product by Mosaeek. I see such potential in video reactions. I love the idea of linking it with @dtube
The creators are refreshing and very attentive.
