We have this model of Crosstour and we use it as a dash cam.
Pro: It takes great video and pictures when there's ample light.
Con: It gets warm. Grainy when it's dark. You can probably change settings for that but I haven't tried messing with it.

As for the battery, we run the juice down after an hour with medium quality settings and wifi off. It'll last 30 mins if it's on high quality settings and wifi on.

Overall, it's a nifty camera.It gets the job done.
