This looks pretty awesome, almost out of a movie like you said. Although I do like the feel of playing chess manually, this might be a really cool alternative to play with people not sitting in front of you. Seems a little bit expensive but if the pieces are intricate and it works as designed than it would be worth it. Chess is a game that transcends age and is great for any occasion.
