I honestly just learned about the first one recently after seeing and playing the sequel, I heard they are remaking or adding some DLC's for the first one, this might be good news for u ;)
Started playing this the 2 days ago on Xbox One. Pretty decent. Graphics are nice. Is kind of dark in so many spots. The flashlight don't really help. Game controls could be a little better. Dead Island is probably my favorite Zombie game.

This is really an interesting game! Unlike the rest, you are being challenged to protect your community while battling with those zombies. This will surely hook the players even more.
Your leadership skills may be enhanced through this game. Though this is just a virtual game, you will be opt to make wise decisions and intelligent tactics to outperform the protagonists
Great quality graphics! It is more realistic than the other zombie games out there.

I personally played it and honestly im glued, its more fun if u play co-op online and be part of a community.

Pros: This is the best horror, survival, sci-fi, bloodbath game I ever played.
Cons: I don't like the undead graphic
